As in previous years, the Outreach Committee will be assisting with Christmas celebrations for people living in or staying at “Our Place” and “Buffalo Den”. Because of the pandemic, the committee will purchase gifts and is looking for your financial contributions (by December 15th) in one of three ways:
- Mail a cheque to the church or put it in the offering and indicate that it is for the Outreach Christmas project.
- Send your donation by e-transfer to contactus@riverbendunited.org. Please designate your donation to Outreach Christmas Project.
- Call us if you would like us to pick up your donation.
You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for a minimum $20 donation.
We hope to have a ZOOM meeting with the residents of “Our Place” to watch them open their gifts (tentatively scheduled for Dec 15). Please let us know if anyone would like to join us.
A second initiative is the collection of new socks for adults or children, men’s underwear, ladies’ panties and feminine hygiene products. Please put them in the playpen in the Narthex and we will deliver them after Christmas.
