Continued Financial Support for Riverbend United Church

Important message from David Olson, Chair of the Finance Committee during these difficult times

Dear members and friends,

With the suspension of Sunday worship services for what will likely be a few months instead of a few weeks, we need to consider carefully the support of our ministry and our building during this period. Our ministries continue albeit in a different form than usual, and our building still needs to be maintained, cleaned and cared for and necessary repairs cannot wait forCOVID-19 to finish its course. The work of RUC is continuing and so does its cost. It is now more important than ever for each member and adherent to continue their financial support of RUC.

For those of you on PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance), we thank you knowing that your regular monthly contributions will continue during the crisis. For those of you who give using envelopes, this would be the perfect time to consider moving to PAR since your regular giving will then continue even while regular services have been suspended. You may also wish to consider writing a series of signed and postdated cheques. If you are an occasional giver, please consider moving to PAR regardless of the amount of your monthly giving or to write a series of signed, post-dated cheques that we can come to your house to collect or can be sent to the church office by mail. Riverbend United will be there for you during this crisis; we need each of you to be there for the church as well during the COVID-19 crisis.
