Project #1 This year, the Outreach Committee will be taking 20 large gift bags to ladies living in permanent inner-city housing.  The houses are Our Place (1) and Inner City Way (10) group homes. Would you or your group like to fill up one or more of the bags?  Financial contributions for both projects are appreciated!

What a tremendous success!!  Our Annual Cookie Walk was held on Saturday, November 24th.  For $20.00 people could fill a large container with a selection of tasty, dainty Christmas cookies – all their baking done in minutes!  We were able to raise over $3,000.00 from the sale – thank you to Irene Meglis & Marie MacLean

Joel Fleck and Alex Rasmussen, the Youth Ministry Co-Coordinators, have a full year of activities and events planned.  The next Youth event is the Christmas sleepover on December 15th.   Be sure to touch base with Joel or Alex if you are interested or check out the RUC Events calendar: Events where all upcoming Youth Events are posted.

Members of Riverbend United Church and others from the community enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner with all the fixings and a pie buffet on Sunday, October 28th. Thank you to the “Turkey Team” and everyone else who contributed to the success of this annual event!

Our annual garage sale occurred Friday & Saturday, September 7th & 8th and once again it was a tremendous success!  Bev Sawyer and her crew of volunteers raised more than $10,000!!!  Congratulations and thank you to everyone who donated, helped pick-up and deliver, set-up tables & displays and came to shop at the Church.  The crew of

Riverbend United Church is grateful to have received a Government of Canada “Canada Summer Jobs” grant to hire two students in the summer of 2018.  Marguerite Alimbe was the Church’s Office Assistant.
