Youth Ministry Program
Riverbend United Church offers a Youth Ministry Program for youth between grades 6 and 12. The program is led by Nathan Schoenhardt, a long-time member of Riverbend United Church. Nathan was baptized at Riverbend United Church and has been a lifelong member. He grew up participating in the church’s children’s and youth programs, which helped shape his faith journey. He is currently studying Engineering at Campus Saint-Jean, University of Alberta.
Outside of school, Nathan enjoys curling, soccer, and hockey. He loves playing board games and the trombone. He is also a beekeeper! In the summer, he works at a summer camp, where he shares his passion for the outdoors, leadership, and building community.
The Riverbend United Youth Group meets weekly for Sunday morning discussion, during the regularly scheduled 10:30 a.m. service, as well as every second week for group activities. In addition to this, the youth group participates in several larger events including a youth retreat and youth-run services. The group offers a supportive and welcoming environment for youth between grades 6 and 12.
