Organizational Structure & Governance
Riverbend United Church is governed locally by an Official Board of volunteers and by Trustees who hold the land in trust on behalf of the United Church of Canada. The United Church of Canada is comprised of 13 Regional councils, and Riverbend United Church is part of the Northern Spirit Regional Council. Please click on each of these organizations to learn more about their roles and responsibilities.
The Official Board of Riverbend United Church is responsible to provide to the congregation an Annual Report and Financial Statements for the previous fiscal year and a budget for the upcoming year. Those documents are reviewed at an Annual General Meeting usually held in the spring. In 2025, the AGM will be held on Sunday, March 23rd immediately following the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
